Huntington, WV (HNN) – Since January 2010, organizations, employees and individuals have been supporting United Way’s work in various ways. Many have volunteered their time, talent and dollars to support United Way’s work to advance the common good in the areas of education, income and health.
For several years, Appalachian Power and its employees (Huntington and Milton locations) have supported United Way work. Appalachian Power and its employees raised over $12,000 during their October 2010 workplace campaign for United Way.
“Appalachian Power and its employees are great community partners,” said Cassey Bowden, Director of Resource Development & Marketing, United Way. “Partners like this make it possible to continue our work to improve community conditions and create lasting change in the lives of people in the River Cities,” explained Bowden.
“Appalachian Power is proud to make contributions like this in order to make our communities better places to live and work,” said Steve Stewart, Director External Affairs, Appalachian Power.
