Governor Manchin to Cut Ribbon on Section of Route 10 Wednesday, November 10

Charleston, WV (HNN) – Governor/U.S. Senator-elect Joe Manchin, Lt. Governor and Senate President Earl Ray Tomblin and Transportation Secretary Paul Mattox today announce the completion of a nearly 4.2-mile section of Route 10 in Logan County. They will join Congressman Nick Rahall, as well as other state and local officials, in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Midway Plaza (Rita Mall) tomorrow, November 10th at 11:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
 
The 4.19 mile section will connect to an existing 1.19 mile section already completed, for a total of 5.38 miles from Midway Plaza to the Man Bridge at a total cost of $118 million.
 
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, officials will lead a motorcade of vehicles to travel the highway for the first time. Upon completion of the event, the highway will be fully opened to traffic.
 
The event staging area will be in the parking lot of Midway Plaza (Rita Mall), adjacent to the entrance of the new 4-lane section. Heading south from Logan, the Midway Plaza is located approximately 7 miles on the left. Coming north from Man, the plaza is 3 miles on the right. DOH personnel will be on site to direct parking.
