Charleston, WV (HNN) - Daren Gardner is a native Virginian, an American patriot, and a motorcycle enthusiast has embarked on a Constitution Ride Across America. This ride began on August 15, 2010 when he left Richmond, Virginia and will end on October 30 when he arrives for his final rally in Washington, D.C.

He will be in Charleston Wednesday, August 25 at 10 a.m. where he will be presenting a copy of the U.S. Constitution to Del. Kelli Sobonya and other legislators on the State Capitol grounds at 10 a.m. He plans to deliver Constitutions to state representatives on the capitol steps of the 48 contiguous states. That’s 13,000 miles in 77 days.

A non-partisan project that began in the planning stages last November has grown into a significant event that is garnering a lot of attention across the country. Gardner has been on national news and has gained the support of Congressman J. Randy Forbes who is also a bike enthusiast. More information about the ride is available on the website: www.craa2010.com

“We urge our West Virginia citizens to participate in this historic event“, said Delegate Sobonya. “The 10th Amendment of our nation’s constitution states the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. “We must continue to defend and protect our constitution and the rights of each state“, added Delegate Sobonya.

This event is open to the public. This is a non-partisan event. No campaign signs are permitted but public officials, candidates, and others will be given time to briefly speak concerning the constitution.
