Tax & Investment Pros Should Register Now for the Tri-State Tax Institute

Wheeling, WV (HNN) — The Annual Tri-State Tax Institute meets in Troy Theater on Tuesday, Oct. 12, marking its 53rd year of educational programs for tax professionals.
Register now to take part in the day of learning that begins at 8:15 a.m. with welcoming remarks and concludes at 5 p.m., Oct. 12.
Accountants, lawyers, bankers and insurance agents can also receive continuing legal education (CLE) and continuing educational units (CEUs) by attending.
Tri-State Tax Institute is one of the longest running programs of its sort in the nation and provides tax and investment professionals with up-to-date insights in planning, economics and legal questions from some of the region’s top experts.
Sponsored this year by Charles Schwab; the Community Foundation of the Upper Ohio Valley; Herndon, Morton, Herndon & Yaeger; Huntington National Bank; Raymond James Financial Services; Morton Stanley Smith Barney; Riesbeck Food Markets, Inc.; Spilman Thomas & Battle; WesBanco Trust & Investment Services and WJU’s Professional and Graduate programs, the institute also awards academic scholarships to deserving Wheeling Jesuit accounting students every year.
Tax institute board members include, R. Bruce Bandi of WesBanco Trust and Investment Services, Christopher C. Freeman of Parker/Hunter Inc., James F. Kacsmar of Kacsmar & Company, Michael E. Kelly of Jackson Kelly, Allan Miller of Morton Stanley Smith Barney, John W. Parkinson of Appalachian Capital Management, David Croft of Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, and Edward Schmitt of Riesbeck Food Markets and LaDonna Tomei of Felton and Felton, A.C. Attorney Robert J. Krall is the chairman the board.
The early registration fee is $170 for an individual or $150 each for teams, prior to Oct. 1. On or after Oct. 4, the fee is $190 for an individual or $170 for each team member. Participants are entitled to a team discount when three or more people from the same organization attend and register at the same time.
