Charleston, WV (HNN) - Rafael Moure-Eraso, chairman of the federal Chemical Safety Board, will visit Charleston next week to discuss the final report on the August 2008 Bayer CropScience explosion and fire.
According to an interview in the Charleston Gazette, Rafael Moure-Eraso plans to meet with representatives of the Institute group, People Concerned About MIC, and hopefully Bayer officials.
Earlier, Kanawha County Commissioner Kent Carper wrote the CSB complaining they were stalling in releasing the final report.
The report will be released this fall at a public meeting in Institute.
He told the Gazette, “I’m concerned about the continuing use of MIC anywhere, especially in the Kanawha Valley.”
