No. 59 Marshall Women's Tennis Falls to No. 35 Tulsa in C-USA Championship Match

Tulsa, OK (HNN) – The No. 59 Marshall University women’s tennis team lost 4-1 to No. 35 University of Tulsa Sunday afternoon, April 25 in Tulsa and now awaits to see if it receive a team berth into the NCAA Championship Tournament.
The Thundering Herd finished the season with a record 19-7, which included defeating six nationally-ranked opponents along the way.
MU’s lone point came in doubles with wins on courts one and three. The duo of No. 54 Michaela Kissell and Dominika Zaprazna topped No. 46 JoAnne Karaitiana and Alexandera Kichoutki in first singles, 8-6, while Thaddea Lock and Deanna Bailey won third singles 8-5 over Rebecca Row and Michelle Farley.
The Herd re-wrote the record books with its 11-0 start, and MU defeated its highest ranked opponent ever in topping No. 27 SMU. Combined, the Thundering Herd had a singles record of 109-41 and a doubles record 49-27.
