Marshall Shoots 303 During Round One Of UK Bluegrass Invitational
Play Is Halted Due To Darkness; Tournament To Resume Sunday Morning

Lexington, KY (HNN) — The Marshall University men’s golf team shot 303 during round one of the UK Bluegrass Invitational before darkness halted the tournament before the second round could be completed Saturday, April 10.
As a result, instead of fixed tee times on Sunday, April 11, the tournament will resume with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. The teams will resume tournament action at the same starting location the teams were assigned for round one. In the Herd’s case, Marshall will start on hole No. 10A. Miami (Ohio) had the low score of the opening round with a 281.
Carson Schambach (So. Glen Dale, W.Va.) turned the top MU performance of round one. Schambach shot a one over 72 and sits in a tie for 25th among the individual players. Nathan Kerns (Fr., Ironton, Ohio) was +4 in during round and carded a 75. Aaron Boggs (R-Fr., Madison, W.Va.) tallied a 77 in his opening round while Bosten Miller (So., Charleston, W.Va.) posted a 79 in round one. Bennett Boyer (R-Jr., Millersburg, Pa.)began his tournament by shooting an 82.
