Marshall Announces Thundering Herd/ISP Network TV for Men’s Basketball
Local TV broadcasts will give Marshall Basketball two additional televised games this season

Huntington, WV – Marshall University Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick announced Tuesday that the Thundering Herd/ISP Sports Network will carry two Marshall men’s basketball games this season on WSAZ (Charleston/Huntington, W.Va.) and on WTAP My5 (Parkersburg, W.Va.).
“I want to thank ISP and WSAZ for partnering with us to bring Marshall Basketball back to local television,” Hamrick said. “This television schedule allows our fans and alumni throughout the Tri-State and the Kanawha and Ohio Valleys the opportunity to see their Thundering Herd play. Having a television presence in throughout the region is key as we build our vision for the future of Marshall Athletics. We also hope to have additional games picked up by television this season. ”
The Thundering Herd/ISP Network will carry the Ohio vs. Marshall game from the Charleston Civic Center on November 28th at 7:30 p.m. and the East Carolina at Marshall game on February 6.
Overall, Marshall is scheduled to make at least nine regular season television appearances. In addition to the two Thundering Herd/ISP Sports Network games, Marshall’s December 22 game at North Carolina will be televised by Fox Sports South and NESN, the January 13th game at UCF will be broadcast by CBS College Sports, the January 20th Capital Classic with West Virginia at the Charleston Civic Center will be carried statewide on a host of stations, the January 23 home game with UAB will be carried by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast, CBS College Sports will broadcast the home game with Memphis on January 27th, and the Herd’s January 30th game at Houston will be carried by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast. Cox Sports will broadcast Marshall’s February 20th game at Tulane in the New Orleans Metro area.
