Kent State Downs Herd 20-6 in Third Game of MAC Baseball Series

Huntington (HNN) — Kent State took revenge on the Marshall baseball team in the third game of the series, hammering them with their bats to win 20-6 on Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2005 at University Heights Field.
 
After winning two games from Kent for the first time in 36 years on Friday and Saturday it was all Kent State's day on Sunday in scoring, batting and pitching.
 
The score was 20-0 until the bottom of the eighth inning when Marshall's Bubba Pfaff hit a grand slam. Another run also scored for give the Herd five. The Herd managed to score once more in the ninth.
 
Kent State beat Marshall in 2003, 21-2.
