Huntington (HNN) — The Marshall University softball team won three games in a row playing against Mid-American Conference opponent Akron on Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2005 at Dr. Dorothy E. Hicks Softball Field under nice sunny skies with wind.

Cold, windy rainy weather on Saturday put game one in suspension and game two not played. On Sunday the suspended game resumed about 2 p.m. after field work made it playable. The two other softball games followed to complete the three-game series. Previously, two games had been scheduled to be played on Saturday and one on Sunday.
