Huntington (HNN) — The Marshall University softball team was leading 5-2 over Akron in the bottom of the third inning when the game was halted because of poor field conditions from weather. The game was the first of two scheduled for Saturday, April 2, 2005.

Looking in the outfield stands one person was sitting all alone in the upper section of the bleachers. It was easy to see why with wind, cold, rain, sleet and a snow flurry or two in the mix.

The suspended Mid-American Conference game will start at noon on Sunday, April 3 with two games to follow in an attempt to complete the three game series.
