Manchin Receives Primary Election Endorsement From The NRA

Charleston, WV (HNN) – The National Rifle Association’s (NRA) Political Victory Fund has officially endorsed Joe Manchin, candidate for the U.S. Senate, for the August 28th special primary election.
“As a lifetime member of the NRA and as an avid outdoorsman, I am truly honored to have the NRA’s endorsement for the upcoming special primary election,” Manchin said. “For more than 130 years, the NRA has promoted and defended our Second Amendment rights, helping to ensure that law-abiding Americans can bear arms. I am proud to be a pro-gun West Virginian who stands with the NRA.”

The NRA consists of four million members. According to the NRA’s web site, the organization has not yet made 2010 general election endorsements for U.S. Senate races.
