DENNIS HOPPER: The '70’s James Dean anti-hero, Dennis Hopper Didn’t Go Hollywood

Huntington, WV (HNN) – He was ‘born to be wild.’ His “Easy Rider” turned a motorcycle road movie into a cinematic icon. It was made for a mere $400,000 and it came to define the “hippie” generation.
Like his characters, Dennis Hopper, who died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the age of 74, had bouts with substance abuse and bizarre conduct. Still, he starred in such memorable films as “Apocalypse Now,” David Lynch’s “Blue Velvet,” “Speed,” and Tony Scott’s “True Romance.”
Here is a tribute to Hopper from You Tube: (Song © by Cream)
Also, from You Tube Hopper and Christopher (“Deerhunter”) Walken spar in a dark Sicilian inspired scene written by Quentin Tarantino in the 1993 film, “True Romance,” which is copyright by WB.

Finally, here’s a brief You Tube source for a portion of a documentary celebrating the white-knuckled life of the man born for wildness (includes portion of "Born to be Wild"):
