Volleyball’s Elizabeth Fleming Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team
Fleming Earns Award for Third Time

Irving, TX (HNN) – Marshall University volleyball’s Elizabeth Fleming was one of 12 student-athletes named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team for the third-straight year as announced by the league office on Monday.
 
Fleming, a native of South Bend, Ind., has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during her time at Marshall, while majoring in International Affairs, with a minor in French. She is a member of the Yeager Scholars Honors Program, has been a Dean’s List member every semester and is a past winner of the Conference USA Academic Medal and C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
On the volleyball court, Fleming became just the third player at Marshall and eighth in C-USA history to reach 5,000 career assists this season when the Thundering Herd defeated Rice on Nov. 12. She has accumulated 5,155 career assists and is on the cusp of 1,000 digs (991) for her career.
 
She has totaled a team-best 14 double-doubles and has played in all 116 sets this season.
