Lewisburg, WV (HNN) – A representative from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM), a nationally recognized osteopathic medical school in Lewisburg, W.Va., will visit Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va.
A WVSOM Admissions Counselor will meet with Marshall students from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Science Building on Wednesday, December 1. Those students wishing to explore a career as an osteopathic physician are welcome to attend.
Students will learn more about WVSOM, primary care medicine and the osteopathic philosophy. Osteopathic physicians treat the patient as a whole person. For more information, please contact the WVSOM Admissions Office at (888) 276-7836 or Dr. Wayne Elmore at Marshall at (304) 696-3638.

The institution’s 12 year “Legacy of Excellence” continues as a nationally ranked medical school. The institution is included in U.S. News & World Report magazine’s 2011 edition of “America’s Best Graduate Schools.” Visit WVSOM online at www.wvsom.edu.
