Huntington, WV (HNN) - Season tickets for the 2010-2011 men’s basketball season are now on sale to the general public. A Choose-Your-Seat Day is also set for Thursday, November 4, preceding the exhibition game vs. Concord. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. for all individuals that are interested in purchasing basketball season tickets on that date. Open seats will be tagged to identify their availability. Ticket office representatives will also be on site to process orders as seats are chosen.
Lower bowl season tickets cost $215 per seat and these seats also require a Big Green Scholarship Foundation contribution. Ticket sales have surpassed last year’s total with two and half more weeks until the first regular season game. Lower bowl season tickets do remain, but they are going fast.
Upper bowl reserved chair-back seats are $110 for the season and a variety of seat blocks are available. The newest addition to Marshall’s season ticket packages is the “Herd Heaven” general admission season ticket. This ticket is only $90 for the entire 18-game home schedule and this ticket also comes with a complimentary “Herd Heaven” t-shirt. This t-shirt when worn to home games will provide customers with a chance to receive food discounts and various prizes throughout the season.
New season ticket holders will not receive parking passes for the season. The parking allotment issued by the University has been exhausted by current season ticket holders. Parking will be available on the surface lot west of the Robert C. Byrd Bio-Tech building throughout the season.
Single game tickets for Marshall’s non-conference games will go on sale Friday, November 5 and all upper bowl reserved tickets and general admission tickets will be made available to the general public at that time. Any remaining lower bowl single game tickets will only go on sale to season ticket holders who already have lower bowl season tickets. The same guidelines will be in effect when single game tickets go on sale for conference games on Monday, December 20. All single game home basketball tickets that are requested to be mailed will go out roughly one week prior to the contest.
Upper bowl tickets for the January 19 Capital Classic with West Virginia University at the Charleston Civic Center are currently on sale to all Big Green members and season ticket holders. Those tickets are $30 apiece. Lower bowl Capital Classic tickets are only on sale to season ticket holders who have lower bowl season tickets in the Cam Henderson Center, these tickets are $40 apiece. Any remaining lower bowl tickets that are not purchased by lower bowl season ticket holders will go on sale to Big Green members on Monday, November 22 and be designated by annual giving amount. Individuals who order tickets for the Capital Classic will get their seating assignment based on their Big Green priority points. Tickets to this game will be mailed from the Marshall University Ticket Office on Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
