Marshall Women’s Soccer Falls at Houston
The Herd winless in its last five matches

Houston, TX (HNN) - Lexa Hughes (Everett, Wash) tied her career-high with eight saves on the match but it wasn’t enough as Houston ran away with a 2-0 victory in Sunday afternoon’s Conference USA women’s soccer match at Robertson Stadium.
 
The Thundering Herd remains winless in its last five matches and drops to 4-8-2, 2-5-1 C-USA, while the Cougars improve to 11-3-2, 6-1-1 C-USA.
 
Fabi Cirino struck first for Houston, tallying the game-winner from 25 yards out in the 43rd minute.
 
Kylie Hou Cook would give the Cougars insurance with her third goal of the season on a penalty kick at the 62:39 mark.
 
Houston outshot the Herd 17-7 on the afternoon.
 
The Thundering Herd returns home for its final three matches of the regular season. Marshall takes on Colorado College Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at Sam Hood Field.
