Baseball Starts Green and White World Series on Friday
Seven Game Series at the Kennedy Center

Huntington, WV (HNN) – The Marshall University baseball team will begin its annual Green and White World Series on Fri., Oct. 15 at the Kennedy Center. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
 
The Thundering Herd will play the first three games of the intrasquad series over the weekend, with games four through seven starting back up on Thurs., Oct. 21 and running through the following Sunday.
 
Head coach Jeff Waggoner’s 2010 version of the Thundering Herd baseball finished with a 27-31 overall record and a fourth place finish in Conference USA at a 12-12 mark. The 12 league victories and overall league finish were both school records.
 
Leading the Green team will be fifth year assistant coach Tim Donnelly and second year pitching coach Joe Renner, while two former Herd players in volunteer assistant Jeff Rowley and director of baseball operations guru Brandon Casamassima will coach the White squad.

Game 3: Sun., Oct. 17 – 1 p.m.
Green: RHP Hunter May (N/A) vs. LHP Joe Holloway (N/A)
 
Game 4: Thurs., Oct. 22 – 3 p.m.
Game 5: Fri., Oct. 23 – 3 p.m.
Game 6: Sat., Oct. 24 – 1 p.m.
Game 7: Sun., Oct. 25 – 1 p.m.
