Thundering Herd Men’s Golf Opens 2010 Fall Season With 41st Annual Marshall Invitational Sept. 13-14
54 Hole Event Gets Underway With 8:30 a.m. Shotgun Start Monday

Huntington, WV (HNN) - The Marshall University men’s golf team opens the Fall portion of the 2010-11 season Sept. 13-14 by hosting the 41st annual Marshall Invitational.
 
In addition to the Herd, other teams scheduled to compete are Austin Peay, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Eastern Kentucky, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Ohio, Richmond, Toledo, Virginia Tech, William & Mary, Xavier, and Wright State.
 
The Marshall Invitational will be played at the Guyan Golf Course in Huntington and will be comprised of 54 holes. The first 36 holes gets underway Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final 18 holes will go off the No. 1 and No. 10 holes at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
 
Marshall’s lineup will feature redshirt senior Christian Brand (Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.), Nathan Kerns (So., Ironton, Ohio, Ironton H.S.), Aaron Boggs (R-So., Madison, W.Va., Scott H.S.), Brian Anania (Fr., Hurricane, W.Va., Hurricane H.S.), and Bosten Miller (Jr., Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.).
 
The Thundering Herd will enter six individuals; Aaron Barna (Fr., Hurricane, W.Va., Hurricane H.S.), Bennett Boyer (R-Sr., Millersburg, Pa., Millersburg Area H.S.), Marshall Hone (Fr., Wheeling, W.Va., Wheeling Park H.S.), Jeremy Rogers (Fr., Buckhannon, W.Va., Buckhannon-Upshur H.S.), Carson Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va., John Marshall H.S.), and Lance West, Jr., (Fr., Huntington, W.Va., St. Joseph Center Catholic H.S.).
