CAPEHART ANNOUNCES WEBSITE AVERAGED 3605 HITS PER DAY IN
NOVEMBER.

 

12-1-03 (Huntington) Rob Capehart announces today that his website for governor is averaging 3600 hits per day.  For the month of November, www.robcaphart.com logged 108,151 total hits.  Capehart launched his website in June.  Capehart has used the website to attract new voters, volunteers, and to collect campaign contributions.

 

Capehart said, "My website is different, it is updated daily".  "We look at my website as a tool to reach and inform our base".  The Capehart '04 website includes the campaign schedule, press coverage, media releases, and the candidate's remarks.

 

Campaign Manager, Jeremy Maynard said, "Political technology has changed over the last decade.  The Internet is becoming a new tool in West Virginia politics".

 

The former Secretary of Tax and Revenue, now serves as Associate Professor and the Director of Tax Studies at Marshall University and is currently of counsel to the statewide law firm of Steptoe and Johnson, concentrating in the area of federal, and state and local taxation
