Donate Gently Used Items
Help Cold, Homeless Furry Friends
By Tony Rutherford

Huntington, WV (HNN) – You turned up the heat, left the water dripping (to prevent freezing) and curled up for a long early winter’s nap. Although you and others are inside where it’s warm, lots of humans and animals do not have that luxury. In fact, you may want to procrastinate a couple days on Christmas shopping, too.
Beginning Sunday, Dec. 19, a thrift store will donate proceeds from sales to helping the four-legged companion animal populations that needs a place to call home.
Animal Friend’s Thrift Store holds its ‘soft’ opening Sunday, Dec. 19 from 1-6 p.m.
The location sells used furniture, appliances, clothing, household goods, and generally anything available for resale. Christmas gifts and decorations are available too.
Coffee and hot chocolate will be served at the Sunday opening. The store is across from H.R. Block in Wayne, WV.
Animal Friends shelters homeless animals and the organization needs leftover construction or fencing items which will be used for expansion.
Pick up of unwanted items for resale is available. Funds obtained from the sale go for food, shelter, veterinary services, spaying/neutering, rescue and adoption services.
For information, contact Terri Ann Smith 304-617-7381 or animalfriends3@aol.com.
Rover and his homeless friends thank you.
