North Carolina ATW Wins Over Marshall Women at Home 57-53

Huntington, WV (HNN) - North Carolina ATW won the women's basketball game over Marshall 57-53 at Cam Henderson on Saturday night before an attendance of 189.
The basketball game was back and forth between the two schools with the score changing nine times and the lead changing five times.
Marshall had a 33-30 lead at the intermission and had a lead of 7 points (47-40) with 9:04 left in the game and looked as if they were on the way to victory.
However North Carolina ATW had other plans and begin to overcome the Herd defense with a lot of shooting. With four minutes left NCATW had the lead 50-49. Marshall had some opportunities late in the game to tie or take the lead, but was unable to do so.
Marshall's percentage of field goal shooting was 54.3% to NCATW's 31.8%, however NCATW had taken 66 (21-66) shots to Marshall's 35 (19-35).
Marshall is 2-6 in the early season and North Carolina ATW is 3-4.
