Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Customers in Hamlin

Huntington, WV (HNN) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in Hamlin. Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, customers area are no longer advised to boil water prior to consumption.
 
The precautionary advisory was issued Wednesday afternoon following a water main break on State Street in Hamlin. The affected roads included State Street, Monday Drive, Oakwood Road, Twin Springs, Belcher Avenue, Hillview and Angel Heights.
