Marshall Wins 67-63 Over James Madison with Improved Foul Shooting

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Marshall won over James Madison University 67-63 with improved foul shooting playing a men's basketball game at Cam Henderson Center on Tuesday night.
Both teams came into the game with records that looked evenly matched. Marshall was 5-2 and JMU was 6-2.
That scenario played out true before the 4,735 fans with the scored tied five times and ten lead changes. JMU led 32 to 30 at the intermission.
With 6:40 left in the game and the scored tied 56-56 Marshall had their work cut out for them. A basket by Marshall's Johnny Thomas gave the Herd a 58-56 lead.
JMU fought back and was one point down 60-59 with 3:18 left. With 47 seconds left Marshall was up 65-63, and held on for the 67-63 victory.
Marshall's improved foul shooting of 18-26 for 69.2% over JMU's 6-11 for 54.5% was one major factor in the win.
