United Way’s Financial Stability Partnership Initiative to Host Special Guest – Today!
Credit counseling education challenges in our communities

Huntington, WV (HNN) - The Financial Stability Partnership, an initiative of the United Way of the River Cities, is very pleased to announce that Debra Lee, Director of Education at Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern WV and of the Panhandles, will be our special guest speaker at our next meeting on Tuesday, December 7, 2010.
 
The presentation starts at 10:00am and will take place in the Nancy L. Francis Conference Room at the United Way of the River Cities. The address is 820 Madison Avenue in Huntington and the meeting will be open to the public. Ms. Lee’s presentation will focus on credit counseling education challenges in our communities.
 
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern WV, founded in 1964, is the largest and longest serving non-profit credit counseling organization in West Virginia. CCCS’s mission is to provide the best non-profit community service dedicated to delivering professional consumer credit education, confidential counseling, and debt reduction programs to all segments of the community regardless of ability to pay. CCCS staff annually helps close to twelve thousand consumers throughout West Virginia.
 
Debra Lee has been the Director of Education at CCCS since November of 2005. In the capacity, she is responsible for directing all financial literacy presentations and special projects. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from West Virginia State University in 2003. She attended Marshall University Graduate School to attain an MS in Adult Education. She has severed on a number of local boards and community organizations throughout West Virginia.
