Huntington, WV (HNN) – Community support has been requested for the Guyandotte Elementary School cheerleaders. Tiffany Daniel, one of two volunteer coaches, have requested business or individual donations to purchase uniforms for the girls.
“My friend and I have spent a lot of our own money to help the girls out, but considering the time of year, we are now in need of help,” stated Ms. Daniel.
In addition, the cheerleading team needs contributions or assistance with the Boys Club fees for practice. “We’ve tried without success by asking several businesses,” Daniel added.
Anyone wishing to help the Guyandotte cheerleaders may contact Richard Simmons at afriend46143@gmail.com.
In addition, the theme of the Dec. 21 Christmas Parade will have a patriotic theme --- “A Soldier’s Holiday Homecoming,” Simmons said.
