Huntington Council Committees Meetings Nov 30, Dec. 1

Huntington, WV (HNN) – The Public Safety, Finance and Storm Water Committees of Huntington City Council will meet Nov 30 and Dec 1 in Huntington City Council Chambers.
Steve Williams, chairman of the Finance Committee, announced an agenda that includes discussion of first quarter budget results and the results from October. Williams and council chairman Insco have questioned the savings from closing City Hall Fridays based on the first quarter report.
The Finance meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.
Following the Finance meeting, the Public Safety Committee, chaired by Frances Jackson, will be discussing the proposed ordinance prohibiting the sale of synthetic cannabinoids (synthetic marijuana), which had a first reading at the last council meeting.
The Public Safety Committee meets at 6:30 p.m.
Finally, on Wednesday, December 1, the Storm Water Committee, chaired by Mark Bates, will discuss a construction site water runoff ordinance and possibly a post-construction runoff ordinance. The meeting convenes at 5:30 p.m.
The public is invited to these council committee meetings. They will be televised on Comcast channel 24.
