Auction Saturday to Preserve Memphis Garrison House

Huntington, WV (HNN) - The Carter G Woodson Memorial Foundation, Inc., a non-profit, tax exempt foundation, holds an auction, Saturday, November 20th, 2 PM, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 828 15th Street, Huntington, WV.
 
The proceeds will be used toward the preservation of the Memphis Tennessee Garrison House. Mrs. Garrison was a teacher, civil rights leader, and NAACP National Leader. The Woodson Foundation plans to preserve the home and will tell the story of Mrs. Garrison’s life as well as the lives of others such as Carter G Woodson, the Father of African-American History.
 
The Foundation is accepting donations for the auction. Beford South Point Ford donated a 2003, white Windstar van!!!! If you or your organization would like to donate an item to be auctioned off in your name please email me, or, bring the donation to St. Peter's, Saturday, Nov. 20th, between 11 am - 1 pm before the auction.
