Council’s Finance, Public Safety Committees Meet Wednesday Nov. 17

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Two Huntington City Council Committees will meet Nov. 17 in Huntington City Council Chambers.
At 6:30 p.m., the Public Safety Committee chaired by Frances Jackson will discuss the digital mobile and portable P-25 radio equipment purchase through a grant for HPD and partner agencies (i.e. Cabell County Sheriff’s Department, Barboursville Police Department).
At 6:45 p.m., the Finance Committee, chaired by at large councilman Steve Williams, meets to discuss both the police digital radio purchase and the proposed Big Sandy Superstore Arena Bond sale.
Council members received a hot of the copier update of city finances just before the Monday, Nov. 8 meeting. Members had not had time to study the report at that time.
