Ashland, KY (HNN) - Several noted Appalachian horror and speculative fiction writers will appear together at Waldenbooks, at Ashland Town Center, on Saturday, Nov. 13th, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Among those scheduled for the event will be 2009 Bram Stoker Award-winning editor Michael Knost.

Knost, a Mountain State native, edited the best-selling nonfiction book, “Writer’s Workshop of Horror,” and picked up a coveted Bram Stoker Award from the Horror Writers Association in March in Brighton, England, beating out two books penned about Stephen King, which were nominated in the same category.

Joining Knost will be Ashland radio personality, announcer, podcaster and nationally-respected horror writer Mark Justice and Bluegrass State authors Jason L. Keene and Karen L. Newman.
