Goodwill Family Service Division Named Licensed Behavioral Center

Huntington, WV (HNN) - The Family Service division of Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area, Inc. has been named a Licensed Behavioral Health Center. Goodwill has professional licensed counselors and a licensed psychologist who provide outpatient mental health services for people experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties due to physical, psychological or social stress.
Admission to services is based on need with some grant funding available for victims. Family Service accepts private insurance, and offers a fee scale that matches the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Additionally, the center now accepts West Virginia Medical Cards for psychotherapy for adults and children.
Provided services include: anger management, anxiety, couples’ counseling, depression, divorce, parenting issues for adults and teen parents, grief counseling, domestic violence groups, stress management, post-traumatic stress disorder, school difficulties, sexual and physical abuse, and treatment for adult sexual offenders. A licensed BIPPS (Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program) is also a part of the center’s services.
