BUSINESS NEWS: Hinton Native D.F. Mock III Named to United Bank Post

Beckley, WV (HNN) - United Bank has promoted D.F. Mock III, a Hinton native and 2000 graduate of Summers County High School, to Market President of the South Market.
Mock will be responsible for the management and operation of all nine United Bank offices in the South Market, which encompasses Raleigh, Fayette and Nicholas Counties. Other responsibilities include building client relationships with an emphasis on new business development in Southern West Virginia, management of commercial and consumer banking departments and commercial lending.
Since joining the Bank in 2005, Mock has held numerous positions in the commercial department, including most recently Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer from 2008 to 2010. Identified as an emerging leader, Mock was selected to serve on United Bank’s Leadership Development Committee from 2006 to 2010.
Mock is a 2004 graduate of West Virginia University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Business Management. He is currently pursuing a Master in Business Administration from West Virginia University with an expected graduation date of December 2010.
Mock has also completed Risk Management Association’s Commercial Lending School and Advanced Commercial Lending School at East Carolina University and is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of the Mid Ohio Valley Leadership Series.
Active in the community, he serves as treasurer of Generation Beckley and is involved in Beckley Rotary Club, Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and New River Gorge (4-C) Economic Regional Development Authority Loan Review Committee. He lives in Daniels.
