POLICE BLOTTER: Hit and Run Suspect Still At Large; Shooting Suspect Turns Self in

Huntington, WV (HNN) - Members of the Huntington Police Department still need your help in finding a suspect in a hit-and-run accident that occurred after midnight, Sunday, October 24. The incident occurred at the intersection of Madison Avenue and W. Ninth Street.
 
Multiple witnesses have described the vehicle as silver or gray and possibly a Ford Ranger pick up. One witness attempted to get the license number, but the driver turned off the lights and drove West on Madison Avenue.

Latest reports on the victim --- a Kenova man --- indicate that he remains in critical condition. One or more witnesses saw the impact which knocked the pedestrian out of his shoes.
 
SHOOTING SUSPECT TURNS SELF IN
 
Johnny Sneed, who had been named a suspect in a Tuesday, Oct. 26 shooting at Hall Avenue and 18th Street turned himself in to police that evening. Sneed has been charged with malicious wounding.
 
Henry Coleman was shot in the leg.
 
ATHENS TERRORIST THREAT
 
A former Ohio University administrator whose job has been eliminated has been charged with threatening to kill people at the Athens, Ohio institution. Mark Hopton , former assistant vice president for business services, allegedly told an employee that he had guns and was coming to shoot people on campus.
 
The Athens Messenger reported that he was charged with making a terroristic threat. He lost his nearly $160,000 a year job June 30.
 
HOTDOG HEIST
 
Cabell 911 dispatch reported that an armed robbery occurred at about 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Sam’s Hot Dogs, 4450 Piedmont Road. After holding up Sam's , the same suspect ventured over to the Rich Gas Station near Camden Park and stole more money. Call the State Police, 304-528-5555, if you have info.
 
SERIAL BURGLAR NABBED
 
Cabell County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested Michael Clark and charged him with more than a dozen home break-ins. According to a sheriff’s department report, deputies caught the man as he was trying to enter a house near Huntington High School, Wednesday, Oct. 27.
 
Clark has been taken to the Western Regional Jail on a $125,000 cash only bond.
