Faith In Action Of The River Cities Announces New Volunteer Training

Huntington, WV (HNN) - Faith in Action of the River Cities will be holding orientation/training sessions for new volunteers every Tuesday during the month of November at 1:00 pm at the FIA office, 848 9th Avenue, Huntington. Volunteers need only attend one two-hour session and pass a background check. Alternate dates and/or times can be scheduled for interested parties unable to attend on Tuesdays.
Faith in Action is an inter-faith volunteer organization which provides non-medical assistance to the elderly and to adults with disabilities in Cabell and northern Wayne Counties in WV and Lawrence County, Ohio. Volunteers are needed who are willing to provide transportation, respite care, chores and daily telephone calls. FIA does not require a minimum time commitment and strives to match volunteers with care receivers in their communities.
