Wolfe, Rahall State GSA, Corps of Engineers Back on Track with Building Rehabilitation

From a Nick Rahall Press Release

Huntington, WV (HNN) – U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.), along Huntington Mayor Kim Wolfe, issued the following statements regarding U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its government landlord, the U.S. General Services Administration, efforts to resolve an agreement on the Corps’ Huntington District Headquarters space requirements:

“After repeated meetings with the Corps, coordinating with Senators Rockefeller and Goodwin, and conversations with Mayor Wolfe, the Corps and GSA are back on track to accomplish their joint mission to rehabilitate the Corps headquarters. Corps employees deserve a sound work environment and the renovation will provide jobs to our workforce and economy. Area property managers need a clear signal sooner than later on where the project is headed,” said U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall.

“I have met personally with Colonel Peterson and offered any and all assistance the City can contribute. Good things happen when we work together and we are seeing it now on this project with our Congressional Delegation, the Corps and GSA,” said Huntington Mayor Kim Wolfe.
