Officers Investigating Apparent Madison Avenue Hit and Run

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Members of the Huntington Police Department, Huntington Fire Department and Cabell County EMS have been called to the scene of an apparent hit and run around 12:05 a.m. Sunday morning. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Madison Avenue just past the W. Ninth Street intersection.
Bystanders who had arrived at the scene just prior to HNN indicated that a silver truck had struck a pedestrian and continued speeding down the street. Some of the victim’s personal effects were still in the street, including at least one tennis shoe which the apparent impact fell from the victim’s foot.
Police as of 1 a.m. are continuing to investigate the accident. No further details are available at this time.
