BOOK NOTES: UFO Specialist, Author to Speak at Rising Sci-Fi Convention in Bluefield on Friday

Bluefield, WV (HNN) - "UFOS are real," says Appalachian UFOlogist and author Kyle Lovern, a native of Williamson, in Mingo County, "And there have been dozens of sightings in and around the Bluefield area."
The Mountain State's chief UFO authority will appear at Rising Star Sci-fi Convention, this Friday, Oct. 22, at Bluefield State College Student Center. Lovern will be one of the guest speakers at the event, and will discuss the recent Appalachian UFO phenomenon and how it could affect all West Virginians.
He will also be signing copies of his two books: Appalachian Case Study: UFO Sightings, Alien Encounters & Unexplained Phenomena, Vol. 1 and 2. Kyle will meet and greet all visitors.
Rising Star Sci-fi Convention is southern West Virginia's only science-fiction convention and showcase, held on the campus of Bluefield State College, in Bluefield, WV. It is described by planners as a family-friendly event with a very relaxed atmosphere. The convention covers all aspects of fandom including television, movies, gaming, film, costuming and much, much more.
The public is invited to attend this special event.
