Goodwill Offers Computer Basics Course Starting Nov. 1

Huntington, WV (HNN) - Goodwill Industries will begin a new 8-week course on “Computer Basics” Monday, November 1, 2010. Class will be held each Monday from 6pm-8pm. The entire course costs $100. Topics covered will include: turning on the computer, terminology, navigation, mouse practice, opening files on CD and jump drives, making file folders, the basics of e-mail and e-mail attachments, basics of Microsoft Word processing (2007 version), and a brief overview of typing practice. The course provides the student with a fully equipped computer lab matched with individual attention and helpful handouts to use at home.
