Finance Committee Meeting Monday Will Consider Sanitary Board Bonds, Fire/Police Department Grants

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Huntington City Council’s Finance Committee will hold a meeting Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in City Council chambers. The revised agenda is as follows:
HUNTINGTON SANITARY BOARD proposes resolutions relating to Sewer Revenue Bonds , Series 2010B, and proposed Sweep Resolution pertaining to automatic payment of bonds to the Municipal Bond Commission.
HUNTINGTON FIRE DEPARTMENT proposes accepting a $26,610 grant to conduct confined space & hazardous material training; accepting a $20,000 grant to purchase a portable generator; and accepting a $20,000 grant to create, evaluate & exercise a continuity of operations plan for the city.
HUNTINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT proposes purchasing two 2011 Chevrolet Tahoes through a JAG grant.
