Wayne County Republican Headquarters Now Open on Waverly Road

Huntington, WV (HNN) – The newly opened Wayne County Republican Headquarters, 4446 Waverly Road (Westmoreland) will hold a cruise in/car show and meet the candidates, Saturday, Oct. 2 from 3:30 p.m. until dusk.
 
Mark R. Maynard, Wayne County GOP chairman, said that up to 30 or 40 “old, new, stock and custom” cars will be represented at the cruise in. They hope to have models spanning from the 1930s up to 2010 Cameos. Hot dogs, refreshments and a 50/50 drawing will be held.
 
Among the candidates attention will be Kelli Sobonya, T-Anne See, and representatives for John Raese and Spike Maynard. .
 
Hours for the Wayne County GOP HQ are Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. You can pick up yard signs and literature from the aforementioned candidates as well as John Yoder, who is running for a seat on the West Virginia Supreme Court.
 
Last week, Yoder spoke to those in attendance about the WV Supreme Court seat which has not received the high profile attention as the race for the late U.S. Senator Robert C. Byrd’s seat. In addition, Lisa Marie Brown, a campaign organizer for the Raese campaign spoke to the executive committee.
