BOOK NOTES: Bram Stoker Winner to Appear at Parkersburg Bookstore Saturday
Three state authors to hold book signing during WV Author Weekend

Parkersburg, WV (HNN) - According to activity planners at Borders, at Grand Central Mall, the bookstore will focus its attention on the importance of Mountain State storytellers and regional books this weekend with special author appearances. The in-store event is being called West Virginia Author Weekend.
Scheduled to appear at the booksigning table this Sat. afternoon, Sept. 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will be 2009 Bram Stoker Award-winning editor Michael Knost, a native of southern West Virginia. Joining Knost will be bestselling regional authors F. Keith Davis, of Chapmanville, and Brian J. Hatcher, of Charleston. The writers will greet the public and sign copies of their respective book titles.
Knost and Hatcher will be signing copies of Dark Tales of Terror (Woodland Press), Legends of the Mountain State series (Woodland Press), Appalachian Winter Hauntings (Woodland Press), and Writers Workshop of Horror (Woodland Press). Davis is the author of The Secret Life and Brutal Death of Mamie Thurman (Quarrier Press), West Virginia Tough Boys (Woodland Press), and The Feuding Hatfields & McCoys (Woodland Press).
