By Huntigntonnews.net Staff
Huntington, WV (HNN) – The USS LST 325 Memorial, a World War II battleship the size of a football field will pass Huntington sometime Wednesday afternoon. The National Register of Historic Places museum won’t be stopping at Harris Riverfront Park, but you can catch a glimpse of the vessel during its journey from Marietta, Ohio to Evansville, Ind.
Although an exact time for floating down the Ohio around Huntington cannot be specifically stated, the ship’s website, http://www.lstmemorial.org, has a website with a GPS tracking system.
The vessel stops at select locations. An agreement to stop at Harris Riverfront Park could not be reached, according to a ship spokesman.
