POLICE BLOTTER: Arresting Suspects; Needing Tips

Huntington, WV (HNN) – The Huntington Police Department made arrests for multiple armed robberies and drug crimes. They seek information on a shots fired incident.
 
Huntington and Marshall University Police officers have made arrests in a series of related armed robberies. The crimes had a similar victimization pattern in which the armed suspect approached a victim, demanded money (and other objects) then fled in a waiting car.
 
One report came from a Chinese man at the intersection of 17th Street and Sixth Avenue at about 12:35 on September 1.
 
After arresting Jessica Wormington, William Spaulding, Sarah McDonald and Paul Prichard on the robbery charges in Huntington, Lawrence County Ohio Sheriff Jeff Lawless filed charges in connection with vehicle break ins Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in South Point, Ohio.
 
COOKING DRUGS
 
A tip to police that someone was “cooking drugs,” led to the arrest of four suspects at a house in the 1000 block of Seventh Avenue, Thursday, September 2.
 
About 25 grams of crack cocaine were seized.
 
The following Huntington residents face charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver: Jerrell Johnson, Gail Motley, Paul Perry and Allen Mothley.
 
BULLETS FIRED; HELP REQUESTED
 
Detectives need the public’s help concerning shots fired early Thursday, Sept 2, in the 1000 block of 17th Street. Multiple shots struck three houses in the block as well as a vehicle around 1 a.m.
 
When investigators attempted to conduct interviews with residents, many claimed no knowledge or declined to cooperate.
 
The only information is that a group of up to five men walked past the houses. No descriptions were obtained.

A TRAIN ENTERS PLEA ON ARMED ROBBERY CHARGES
 
Anthony “A Train” Jennings,” a teenager sentenced to 3 to 15 years in prison for the attempted murder of officer Ryan Bentley entered a “Kennedy” plea Monday, August 30, on two counts of first degree robbery. The Doulton Avenue incident led to the foot chase in which Bentley was shot. Judge Alfred Ferguson sentenced Jennings to 20 years in prison on the armed robbery charges.
