Huntington Tri-State Films Highlight West Virginia Filmmaker's Festival

Among the highlights of the festival's lineup is Huntington's own "The Escribitionist" Shot in and around Huntington, The Escribitionist tells the story Escribitionist of blogger Josh Thomson. blogs about everything that happens in his life. When Josh’s candor causes him to lose his job, he embarks on a soul-searching journey to pay his rent. Directed by 2010 West Virginia Filmmaker Of The Year nominee David Smith, The Escribitionist has screened all over the state as well as in Pittsburgh and Louisville. Other featured Huntington films include Kyle Quinn's puppet web comedy "Seth Martin and Friends" and "Displacement" both of which shot in Huntington.
 
Over the last 5 years, Huntington has become a hot bed for some of West Virginia's most exciting independent filmmaking, and we are excited to welcome returning Huntington filmmakers David Smith and Kyle Quinn with their comic portrayals of the Emerald City.
 
Now in its eleventh year, the West Virginia Filmmaker's Festival is the state's only film festival dedicated to the exhibition of films made by, for, and with West Virginia. Tickets are $5.00 a screening or $15.00 for a festival pass. More information is available at www.wvff.art.officelive.com/
