Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted for a Residential Area in Salt Rock Huntington District

Huntington, WV (HNN) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for all customers on Heath Creek Road, Swamp Branch Road, Booten Creek, Hollands Branch, Booten Branch, Snake Hollow and the Royal Oaks areas in Salt Rock.
This precautionary advisory was issued due to a water main break that occurred on August 25. Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area.
