Huntington, WV (HNN) – Patriotic, country and Christian music headline a free concert Monday, August 16, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Cabell County 4-H. Admission is free, but the event is a fundraiser for the T. Anne See campaign for House of Delegates.
Among the performers, Steve Free, platinum album recording artist and winner of the Governor's Award in Ohio; local recording artist, Nicole Mathews; Sherilyn See, finalist in Colgate Country 2009; Randy Pierson, of the Godsmen; Curtis Collins; Cindy Stowers; The Taylor Brothers - a new recording duo, and Essential Element, a Christian band out of Charleston area.
Having organized inspirational and patriotic gatherings in the past, “I wanted to unite the community and have folks come out no matter what their political persuasion and just enjoy being Americans together for the evening,” See stated.
The evening begins with free Bar-B-Ques and ice cream cones at 6:30 p.m. The concert kicks off with selections of patriotic music like “God Bless America” and “Just a Dream” followed by ‘clean country’ numbers “So Small” and “Where Would You Be.”
Award winning Steve Free will then fill the air with songs from his “Sometimes a Song” CD. Christian music concludes the night.
