Huntington Man Dies After Shooting

Huntington, WV (HNN) - A 48-year-old man has died from injuries following a shooting behind the Fairfield Apartments. He was found in a parking lot between Charleston and Daulton Avenues on Tuesday night, July 27 between 7:30 and 8 p.m.
 
Mark Lowery was taken to Cabell-Huntington Hospital for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries. Detectives began their investigation about 9 p.m.
 
A neighbor indicated they heard three shots behind the Fairfield Apartments. Police have not yet given a description of the suspect(s). Witnesses have given varying descriptions at this time.
 
As of 10:20 p.m., Huntington Police Chief Skip Holbrook could only confirm that a shooting has taken place. However, police later stated that the victim had died.
