Huntington Grand Jury Indicts Eight in $10 Million for Marijuana Distribution

Huntington, WV (HNN) - A federal grand jury indictment has been unsealed which charges eight individuals in a marijuana distribution conspiracy. The defendants allegedly conspired to distribute $10 million of pot from the Summer of 2002 to May 19, 2010.
The amount of marijuana distributed includes about 2,200 pounds, according to the federal indictment.
The three count indictment alleges that the distribution occurred “at or near Huntington, WV” as well as “at or near Nitro, WV” on or about March 5 and March 12, 2010.
Those named in the indictment are Christopher Clark, Jeffrey Perry, Jay Van Meenen, Russell Nelson, Mark Chapplear, Rosa Imedla Ledezma, Barry Adkins and Richard Fleming.
Clark, Perry, Chappalear and Nelson have been taken into custody.
The indictment demands that upon conviction the defendants “shall forfeit to the United States any property constituting or derived from any proceeds obtained directly or indirectly. as the result of such offenses and any property used or intended to be used to commit or facilitate the offenses.”
