Huntington, WV (HNN) - "Twaddle", an original television program produced for Huntington Public Access Television, has been awarded a Hometown Video Award in the category of "Magazine Show: Non-Professional".

The Hometown Video Awards are presented by the Alliance for Community Media, an organization which represents 3000 local cable access stations throughout the country.

The Hometown Video Awards honors and promotes community media and local cable programs that are first distributed on Public, Educational, and Governmental (PEG) access cable television channels. Awards are presented to creative programs that address community needs, develop diverse community involvement, challenge conventional commercial television formats, and move viewers to experience television in a different way. Hometown is local cable's largest video awards. Nearly 1300 entries were received this year.

"Twaddle" content is 60% Huntington oriented, with stories reflecting local history and artists. In addition to airing in Huntington, the program has been exposed to over 894,000 households, on 22 Public Access stations throughout 13 additional states.

Huntington Public Access programming can be seen nightly on Huntington Comcast Channel 20, from 8pm to 10pm and repeats at 11pm to 1am. For more information regarding Huntington Public Access Television, visit: http://cinemystique.home.zoomnet.net
