Pullman Playhouse Comes to Huntington Hotel

Huntington, WV (HNN) – A new downtown Huntington theatre group hopes to become the first professional theatre group in the region. The Pullman Plaza Playhouse has launched a webpage on Facebook and has announced auditions for its inaugural line up of performances.
 
Facebook details that the community theatre group will stage its performances inside the Pullman Plaza Hotel. The entrance will be on the Tenth Street side of the hotel.
 
Auditions will be Tuesday, August 10 from 2-8 p.m. at the Pullman Plaza Playhouse, located at 1001 Third Avenue in the Pullman Plaza Hotel. Specific audition info, click: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=134392739922827&ref=mf
 
The season includes: “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” directed by John Wolfe, who is currently a music/dance/theatre major at Brigham Young University. Show dates are: September 17, 24, 25, Oct 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 19, 26 and Oct. 3.
 
Next, “Little Shop of Horrors” follows with performances October 22, 23, 29, 30, and November 5 and 6. Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 31.
 
“Grease” will be the holiday show running November 26, 27, Dec. 3, 4 , 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinees on Nov. 28 and Dec. 5.
